1 baby dies of cot death every 9 days somewhere across Scotland. We, at the Scottish Cot Death Trust, are here for every one of their devastated families offering comfort and support for as long, and as often, as they need it. But that isn't all we do. We fund research locally and internationally to help understand why previously healthy babies are dying suddenly and unexpectedly. To date, our research has helped find some of the answers, but with your help we can continue to increase our knowledge and understanding of why some cot deaths occur and to ultimately save little lives. We also invest in educating health professionals, parents and the carers of babies to ensure that anyone caring for a baby knows the role they can play in reducing the risks of cot death. The "Back to Sleep" campaign of the 1990's has undoubtedly helped save hundreds of little lives and is proof that lives can be saved. With your support we can all play a part in saving little lives.
